Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival at Haridwar

    Arrive at Haridwar and check in to your hotel. In the evening, attend the sacred Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, where numerous diyas illuminate the ghats. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

  • Day 2: Haridwar-Barkot (210 km, 7 hours)

    After breakfast, drive through picturesque Mussoorie before stopping at Kempty Falls. Continue to Barkot and settle into your hotel or campsite. Dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.

  • Day 3: Barkot-Yamunotri-Barkot (36 km driving + 6 km walk each way)

    Early morning, drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti. Begin the 6-mile journey to Yamunotri. Take a plunge in Surya Kund and pray at the Yamunotri Temple, which is devoted to the goddess Yamuna. Trek back and drive to Barkot. Overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km, 4 hours)

    Drive to Uttarkashi after breakfast. Anyway, stop by the famed Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

  • Day 5: From Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back (100 kilometres one way)

    To get to Gangotri, drive early in the morning via the picturesque Harsil Valley. Take a sacred bath in the Bhagirathi River before performing puja at the Gangotri Temple. Return to Uttarkashi for supper and an overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (220 km, 9 hours)

    Following breakfast, drive through picturesque valleys and river confluences. When you get to Guptkashi, visit the Ardh Narishwar temple. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or campsite.

  • Day 7: Guptkashi-Sonprayag-Kedarnath (30 km driving + 16 km walk)

    Drive to Sonprayag first, then to Gaurikund. Begin the 16-kilometre hike to Kedarnath (pony, palki, or helicopter are available for an additional fee). Upon arriving, seek blessings at the hallowed Kedarnath Temple. Overnight stay near the temple.

  • Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (16 km walk + 30 km driving)

    Attend the early morning Abhishek Puja (optional). After the darshan, return to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 9: Guptkashi-Badrinath (230 km; 9 hours)

    After breakfast, drive from Joshimath to Badrinath. Check into your accommodation and then visit the sacred Badrinath Temple in the evening. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

  • Day 10: Badrinath - Mana Village - Rudraprayag (160 km; 7 hours)

    Take a holy plunge in Tapt Kund before visiting Badrivishal Temple. Explore the Mana settlement (the last Indian settlement) with Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa. Later, drive to Rudraprayag for an overnight stay.

  • Day 11: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh (140 km, 5 hours)

    Drive to Rishikesh after breakfast. Visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and the surrounding ashrams. In the evening, see the lovely Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

  • Day 12: Rishikesh to Haridwar (Departure)

    After breakfast, drive to Haridwar to continue your adventure. The yatra concludes with heavenly blessings from the Chardham.
