Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Guwahati.
Our driver will meet you at the airport or train station and take you to your accommodation. Once you're ready, head to the Kamakhya Temple, which is one of India's most renowned temples. In the evening, you may take a nice boat ride across the Brahmaputra River. Spend the night in Guwahati.

Day 2: Shillong to Guwahati (100 km / 3 hours)
After breakfast, go to Shillong, the lovely capital of Meghalaya. Stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake, which is also called Barapani, on the route. After you check into your hotel in Shillong, you may see the sights, such as Ward's Lake, the Don Bosco Museum, the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, and Police Bazaar. Spend the night at Shillong.

Day 3: Go to Cherrapunji (60 km / 2 hours each way).
Take a full-day excursion to Cherrapunji today. It's the wettest place on Earth. Check out the beautiful Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, and Mawsmai Caves. You will also get to view the Living Root Bridge, which is known all over the world. Come return to Shillong at night. Spend the night at Shillong.

Day 4: From Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (250 km / 6–7 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park in Assam. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the one-horned rhinoceros, which is quite rare. When you arrive there, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may attend a traditional dance show or the tea gardens that are nearby. Stay in Kaziranga for the night.

Day 5: Kaziranga to Dirang Safari (260 km / 7 hours)
You may start your day with an optional elephant safari in the morning. After that, you can go on a car safari to observe the wildlife in Kaziranga, where you can see rhinos, wild elephants, swamp deer, and many species of birds. Then, head to Dirang, a lovely area in Arunachal Pradesh famous for its hot springs and orchards. Check in at the hotel and relax when you get there. Stay the night at Dirang.

Day 6: From Dirang to Tawang (6 hours).
After breakfast, head for Tawang, passing via the picturesque Sela Pass (13,700 ft), which is one of the highest places in India where cars can go. Visit the iconic Jaswant Garh War Memorial, which celebrates the brave soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat. Look at the beautiful frozen lakes and snow-covered mountains. Arrive in Tawang at night and check into your hotel. Stay at Tawang for the night.

Day 7: Tawang sightseeing
Spend the day at Tawang. Visit the well-known Tawang Monastery, which is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India. After that, visit the Tawang War Memorial and Ani Gompa. If you have the appropriate rights, you may visit the picturesque Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and Bumla Pass, which is the boundary between India and China. For the night, go return to the Tawang hotel.

Day 8: From Tawang to Bomdila (180 km / 6 hours)
After breakfast, we went back to Bomdila, a beautiful hill station surrounded by the Himalayas. Visit the beautiful Bomdila Monastery, see the local market, and look down on the Eastern Himalayas from above. Spend the night at Bomdila.

Day 9: Leave Bomdila and drive to Guwahati, (takes 7–8 hours).
Start your way back to Guwahati this morning. Have fun on the gorgeous excursion through the woods and valleys along the route. When you get there, you'll be dropped off at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your next excursion. You'll have memories of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh that will last a lifetime.
