Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: From Guwahati to Shillong (100 km / 3 hours)
When you get to Guwahati Airport or the train station, meet our agent and start your trip to Shillong. Stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake, also called Barapani, on the way. When you get to Shillong, check into your accommodation and then go to Ward's Lake and Police Bazaar in the evening. Stay in Shillong for the night.

Day 2: Trip to Cherrapunji (60 km / 2 hours each way)
After breakfast, go on a full-day trip to Cherrapunji, which is recognised as one of the wettest locations on Earth. You should go to the beautiful Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, and Mawsmai Caves. The Living Root Bridge is one of a kind, so don't miss it. Come back to Shillong in the evening. Stay in Shillong overnight.

Day 3: Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (250 km / 6–7 hours)
Today, drive to Kaziranga National Park in Assam, which is known all over the world. The one-horned rhinoceros, which is at risk of going extinct, lives in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. When you get there, check in at the resort. You may see a cultural show or visit tea gardens nearby in the evening. Stay at Kaziranga overnight.

Day 4: Kaziranga Safari to Dirang (260 km / 7 hours)
Start your day with an optional elephant safari, then go on a jeep safari inside the park. You may see rhinos, wild elephants, swamp deer, and birds that are not found anywhere else. After breakfast, head to Dirang, a beautiful valley in Arunachal Pradesh famous for its orchards, monasteries, and hot springs. Stay at Dirang for the night.

Day 5: Dirang to Tawang (140 km / 6 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Tawang across the beautiful Sela Pass, which is 13,700 feet high. On the way, stop by the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, which honours Rifleman Jaswant Singh. Before you get to Tawang, enjoy the vistas of the snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes. Stay the night at Tawang.

Day 6: Seeing the sights of Tawang
Take the day to see Tawang. After that, go to the Ani Gompa and the Tawang War Memorial. First, visit the ancient Tawang Monastery, which is one of the biggest in India. You can go on a trip to Bumla Pass (the border between India and China) and the beautiful Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake) if you have the right permissions. Stay at Tawang for the night.

Day 7: From Tawang to Bomdila (180 km / 6 hours)
Drive back to Bomdila, a peaceful hill station surrounded by tall Himalayan peaks. Go to the quiet Bomdila Monastery, walk around the local markets, and take in the views of the mountains. Stay at Bomdila for the night.

Day 8: From Bomdila to Guwahati (280 km / 7–8 hours)
Go back to Guwahati after breakfast. You can check in at the hotel and then relax. Take a wonderful sunset sail on the Brahmaputra River in the evening (optional). Stay in Guwahati for the night.

Day 9: From Guwahati to Gangtok (via plane, train, or car)
Take a flight or rail to Bagdogra or NJP through Guwahati. When you get there, drive to Gangtok (120 km / 4–5 hours). Check into the hotel and take it easy. Free time in the evening. Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 10: Trip to Baba Mandir and Tsomgo Lake
Today, embark on a trip to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a glacial lake at a high altitude that is surrounded by snowy peaks. Go on to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, which is a very holy location. You can visit Nathula Pass if you have permission. Go back to Gangtok. Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 11: From Gangtok to Darjeeling (110 km / 4 hours)
Drive to Darjeeling, the "Queen of Hills", after breakfast. When you get there, check in at the hotel. You may explore Mall Road in the evening. Stay the night in Darjeeling.

Day 12: Visit Darjeeling and Departure.
Get up early to see the dawn over Mt Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill. Stop at Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on the way back. Go to the Japanese Temple, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the tea gardens after breakfast. Later, go to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station to continue your trip with happy memories.
